Job Overview: Mother of Pearls is seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented intern to join our team for the winter (November through February). This hybrid position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public relations and social media strategy. As a PR intern, you will have the chance to work with clients, develop innovative media strategies, and create engaging content. Key Responsibilities: Public Relations Strategy & Execution
Assist in crafting and executing PR strategies to amplify client stories through earned media channels.
Write, edit, and fact-check materials, including news releases, statements, and editorials.
Media Monitoring & Event Support
Support in planning and executing events such as ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and news conferences to enhance brand awareness.
Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
Collaborate with clients to develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with brand identity.
Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
Plan and schedule posts to ensure consistent messaging and optimal reach.
Requirements:
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Passion for PR, social media, and the evolving digital landscape.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
Previous experience or coursework in public relations, marketing, communications, or related field is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Hootsuite
Knowledge of PR or social media analytics tools
Ability to work non-routine hours such as late night, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
